Arizona’s Instrument to Measure Standards (AIMS) is a Standards Based Assessment. AIMS measures student proficiency of the Arizona Academic Content Standards in Writing, Reading, Mathematics, and Science and is required by state and federal law.
In 2010, the Arizona Board of Education adopted the College and Career Ready Standards developed by the Boards of Education in 45 states. Implementation started in 2013. The major objective for these standards is to ensure that all students attending public schools will have the right set of skills needed to be successful in college, their future careers or in life. It is the hope that armed with the right set of skills, every student can become a productive member in their community and that they will be able to compete in the job market. The Standards focus on critical-thinking, problem solving, and effective communication skills.
Since students at public schools in AZ need to pass the state assessments to be able to graduate from High School, at Chyten Scottsdale we offer assistance in any of the areas needed. The assements include tests in: Reading, Writing, Math and Science.
If you student needs some assistance or preparation for these assessments please give us a call and we will develop a customized program for him or her.
